Kids say the cutest things :)

Normally I would be posting something cute that Bryce said. Bryce is at such a fun and cute age and just about everything that comes out of his mouth is just so cute. But the past couple of weeks Shaun has said the funniest things and I wanted to be sure to write them down somewhere so that I would not forget about them....and where would be a better place than on my blog :)

So a few weeks ago Bettie and Steve bought a travel trailer. They were really excited because they got a really good deal and Steve was saying that he stole it from the guy and that they got a steal of a deal! So later that night, Shaun comes in and says "Mom, I think that grandpa stole that trailer from the guy"! "I heard him say that he stole it from him"! It was so cute and innocent! We of course had to explain to him that Grandpa didn't steal the trailer and that that is what people say when they get a really good deal. I'm not sure if he fully understood but it was so cute and we got a great laugh!

The second thing happened a couple of days ago while he was at school. He told me that they were learning about firemen in their class and his teacher was telling them that being a fireman was a really good job. She then went around the room and asked each child in the class what they wanted to be when they grew up. When she got to Shaun she asked him if he wanted to be a fireman and he said no. She asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said that he couldn't think of anything right away so he told her that he wanted to be an elf! He said that the class started to laugh....including him and his teacher. He just comes up with the most off the wall things sometimes. Another too cute moment!

Shaun is such a joy to have in our family. He always keeps us on our toes and he is really trying to find himself. I love all of the cute things that our kids say and do. It really makes being a parent the best job ever!

That's funny. I enjoy learning about life from the eyes of my child.
